Program Information
This year's Summer Reading theme is "Libraries Rock!" Registration begins on Thursday, May 24 and ends Tuesday, July 31. To sign up, please click the "Sign Me Up" button above and then stop by any branch to claim your registration prize.

Children are asked to read ten picture books, or five chapter books to earn a completion prize. Continue reading throughout the summer to earn entries for our grand prize drawing!

Summer Reading Program performances are supported in part by a Decentralized Arts Funding Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge in cooperation with the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, and Louisiana State Arts Council.




Prizes
Our registration prizes this year include “Libraries Rock!” themed stickers and coloring bookmarks.

Completion prizes include a summer reading completion certificate, guitar tote bag, rock guitar scratch ornament, summer reading program yard sign, and more from our local sponsors.

The grand prize for youth up to age 4 is a bicycle and a Walmart gift card. The grand prize for ages 5 - 11 is an Amazon Fire Tablet loaded with eResources from the Livingston Parish Library and a Walmart gift card. Winners will be notified on Friday, August 10, 2018.
